In the electronic and electrical appliances industry, Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene copolymer (ABS), due to its superior comprehensive properties and easy processing, is frequently used for TV and computer housings to provide solid protection. Styrene Acrylonitrile copolymer (AS), with high transparency and good heat resistance, is applied to appliance indicator shades and transparent panels to ensure clear visibility. General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS), owing to its excellent optical transparency, is used for small appliance decorative parts and simple lamp shades, adding aesthetics. High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS), relying on its strong impact resistance, serves as appliance packaging liners and small home appliance housings to protect against collisions. Polypropylene (PP), based on its cost advantage and certain heat resistance, is used for non-critical internal structural parts of appliances and wire insulation sheaths to achieve low-cost construction. Polycarbonate/Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene copolymer (PC/ABS), combining the high transparency and strength of PC with the easy processability of ABS, is suitable for display frames of high-end electronic products and laptop housings, possessing both a delicate appearance and strong protection. Polyamide (PA), depending on its high strength, wear resistance, and good insulation, is used for electrical plugs, sockets, and other connectors to ensure electrical safety.
